This is a hands on maintenance and a demo/lecture class. We will accept 4 machines along with their owners who will perform the hands on part of the class with their machines.
The rest of you we welcome to join us learn along with other fellow statler users.
Ron Paul is an acclaimed machine maintenance expert, He's been working on Gammill Machines since 1989. He was a Gammill Dealer for 10 years and now travels the country sharing is knowledge and educating quilting machine owners from all over.
With the Lecture part of this class you are welcome to join Ron and fellow statler users.  While some of you fix the issuse on your machine some of you will be observing and taking notes.
with the Statler Stitcher Lecture/ Domo class Ron discusses
Belts (tensions), pullys, cables, computer components and cleaning. Lessons include practicing how to change parts such as the anti-backlash spring in the bobbin case, the bobbin winder o-ring and the check spring in the rotary tension device.  Get tips on adjusting tension for different weight threads and specialty threads, adjusting wheels and electromagnetic channel locks, checking timing, raising the hopping foot for thick projects, general maintenance and more. Class includes a hand-out with close-up photos explaining the 4 parts that need to be in time and the 5 tensions involved in machine quilting. Also stitch length encoder adjustment, motor brush cleaning just to name a few points of a 21- point service.
