We hear from students who have taken this class how glad they are to know how to tune-up or fix their own machine. Students will see how easy it is to make adjustments to the Gammill. Lessons include practicing how to change parts such as the anti-backlash spring in the bobbin case, the bobbin winder o-ring and the check spring in the rotary tension device. Get tips on adjusting tension for different weight threads and specialty threads, adjusting wheels and electromagnetic channel locks, checking timing, raising the hopping foot for thick projects, general maintenance and more. Class includes a hand-out with close-up photos explaining the 4 parts that need to be in time and the 5 tensions involved in machine quilting. Also stitch length encoder adjustment, motor brush cleaning just to name a few points of a 21- point service.
